This PhD project explores advanced robotic perception, focusing on robotic

vision and machine learning to develop robust, adaptive systems capable of

operating in dynamic, real-world environments. Key research themes include

embodied AI, enabling robots to understand and interact effectively within

their surroundings, and life-long learning, which allows continuous

adaptation and knowledge accumulation over time. Emphasis will also be on

introspection and uncertainty handling, equipping robots with the ability to

self-evaluate, manage uncertainties, and make informed decisions even in

unpredictable scenarios. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with

cutting-edge technologies, collaborate within an interdisciplinary research

environment, and contribute to innovations in autonomous perception. This

project is ideal for individuals interested in advancing the capabilities of

robots to perform complex tasks in varied and evolving environments.
